Cheryl Mahoney, M.Ed., LSW, OCPS, CHES, CEAP

Cheryl Mahoney has a Master’s Degree in Community Health Promotion, a Bachelor’s in Human Development, and an Associate’s in Mental Health Technology and Management.  She is a Licensed Social Worker, and holds Specialist Certifications in Prevention, Health Education, Substance Abuse, Digital Wellness, and Employee Assistance Programming. She has taught, consulted, and counseled in the Miami Valley for over thirty years and is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Prevention Science from Wilmington University.

Her experience with students and families, along with being a parent herself, led Cheryl to create iWise, LLC as a vehicle to promote the healthy use of internet technology. Since 2013, she has presented her iWise message to youth, parents, and professionals across Ohio: “Be Aware, Protect, Prepare, Respond.”  

Cheryl enjoys counseling a diverse clientele of youth, young adults, adults and anyone looking to make positive changes in their lives.

Cheryl specializes in supporting people through but not limited to:  life transitions, social skills, anxiety, LGBTQ+ issues, grief, and  helping families prevent, assess, and address internet use disorders. She is happy to work with individuals, couples and families. 

Currently, Cheyl is completing her Doctoral program focusing on treating gaming and other internet addictions and promoting digital wellness.  

Cheryl holds sessions out of our Centerville Location near 675, Alex Bell, and Far Hills Avenue

Brittany B Buescher MS, LPC, MFT, CCATP

Individual, Couple, and Family Therapist

Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional & Brainspotting Practitioner

Brittany is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and also a licensed Professional Counselor.  She has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Baldwin Wallace College and a Master of Science with a specialization in Marriage & Family Therapy from the University of Akron.  Brittany follows a systemic & integrative approach, that includes a cognitive, neurobiological, and dialectical approach to helping clients heal emotionally.  

She has experience with couples counseling, trauma, addictions, anxiety, depression, grief, divorce and loss.  Her goal is to help those who struggle with adjusting to life events or self esteem issues, build confidence and learn emotion regulation.  Brittany helps rebuild marriages and family dynamics to help reduce symptoms from conflict or stress, improve communication, heal relationships with others, while empowering her clients.

Brittany enjoys working with adults. She specializes in working with those who are experiencing struggles with Adjustment, Anxiety, Grief, and Self Esteem. Her Brainspotting specialty makes for an effective and unique counseling experience. 

Brittany holds sessions virtually. She is able to support clients from all over the state of Ohio.

Renee Boomershine MA, LSW

Renee has a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Morehead State University and is a Licensed Social Worker. Renee has worked in Residential treatment for Adolescents, Community Mental Health with children, adolescents and adults, and School Based Therapy services in Elementary, Middle School and High School settings.

Renee has experience in treating the following areas: Trauma, Abuse, Depression, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, Anger, Grief and loss, Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiance, RAD, ADHD, and Autism.

Renee uses evidence-based therapies and has training in CBT, DBT, TFCBT, Neurologically Informed CBT for Anxiety, 7 Challenges (substance abuse treatment for adolescents), and Telehealth Therapy.

Renee enjoys working with children, adolescents and adults to help learn skills to manage life's stressors and mental health issues to live a healthier more effective life.

Renee holds in-person or telehealth sessions out of our Kettering Location near Far Hills Avenue.

Mackenzie Harris LPC, LICDC

Mackenzie is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor . She has her Associate's Degree in Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychological Science from Miami University. She obtained her Master's Degree at The University of Dayton in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Mackenzie enjoys working with clients of all ages. She has experience in working with individuals who are struggling with addictions (substances, internet, sex, gambling), social skills, emotional regulation, healthy coping skills, grief, low self-esteem, goal setting, healthy relationships, navigating life changes and behavioral therapy.

Mackenzie strives to interact with her clients by utilizing a client centered approach. She finds value and reward through the process of assisting individuals with the obstacles or challenges they may be facing.

Renee enjoys working with children, adolescents and adults to help learn skills to manage life's stressors and mental health issues to live a healthier more effective life.
